Transgender Awareness

Aims

To raise awareness of transgender issues in relation to the workplace and service provision

Objectives

By the end of the course participants will:

Have an understanding and awareness of prejudice, stereotypes and discrimination across different group
Gain an understanding of the terminology used around transgender issues
Provide an overview of legislation relating to transgender issues
Understand responsibilities in the workplace and service provision relating to transgender issues
Understand what is meant by anti-discriminatory practice and produce an action plan
Give out further sources of information, support and advice relating to transgender issues.

A one day workshop for a maximum of 16 participants.

A certificate of course completion will be issued for use.
