Access Audits

Our team of qualified access auditors, managed by an accredited member of the National Register of Access Consultants, can provide you with a one-stop service for all your accessibility needs.

Under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA), all public and most private buildings used to provide services must make “reasonable adjustments” so that they are accessible to people with a disability or special need.

How do we carry out Access Audits?

One of our team will visit your property and walk around the building to examine access to all areas required.

We can assess accessibility for employees, visitors or customers, depending on your needs.

We will provide a written and photographic report, along with recommendations for improvements, to meet the requirements of the DDA.

What other services do we offer?

Our written access audit reports include action planning, and cost estimates. We can also provide a full design service and supervise works from start to finish.

What sort of adjustments might be needed?

The DDA says that if a physical feature of a building makes it impossible or difficult for a disabled person to use that building or a service within it, the organisation providing the service must take “reasonable” steps to put this right. This means:
